The average person breathes 16,000 - 20,000 times a day.

Good nasal breathing occurs when the lips are comfortably together, the tongue is resting in the top of the mouth, and the breath passes through the nose silently.

This allows the tongue to perform its function of stimulating growth, and sustaining room for the adult teeth.

Mouth breathing is associated with more health issues than a less than optimal smile.

The poor habits of mouth breathing are easily identifiable. Mouth breathers habitually sit with their mouth open, and the tongue low when at rest or with gentle exercise like walking.

Happily, with the help of a capnotrainer and breathing well training program, it is possible to correct poor breathing habits in almost all cases.
