The content of the Federal Government Asthma Management 2005 handbook is not in clinical trial format but was researched by the clinical researchers at the Federal Dept. of Health and distributed to 20,000 GPs Australia wide under cover of a letter from the Minister for Health on 3rd March 2005.
On Page 11 of Book 5, titled Asthma and Complementary Medicine, the Buteyko Breathing Technique was rated as the most successful non-drug/herb modality out of 40 tested.
